Our photography Trip to Northern Ireland 22nd to 25th March 2019

We were be based in Ballycastle for the 3 nights where we had a  busy few days traveling and visiting many amazing locations on the beautiful north coast of Antrim. The weather was kind to us with no one getting to wet, well most of us any way’s

Our Annual Dublin Photography outing was on the 1st of December 2018. We left from Galway and Athenry train station’s at about 7:30am and arrived in Dublin around 10am for a fun Day of Photography.

Solas Photography Club new season Starting 5th September 2018

Solas Photography Club new season Starting 5th September 2018. We plan to offer a varied programme including guest speakers, practical sessions, competition nights and the opportunity to simply discuss photography.

Club membership is now open, we function as a small and friendly club and  only have limited membership spaces available

Anthony Demon AIPF, EFIAP, Astro Photography.

On  Wednesday the 18th April we had guest speaker Anthony Demon AIPF, EFIAP from Athlone give  us a wonderful  presentation of his Astro Photography. Anthony spoke in great detail about the skills and techniques he uses to capture his fantastic images and he also had his "A" Distinction panel of images on display. A great opportunity for members to see up close and see the quality required for an "A" distinction
